SERVICE ONE presents the 2010 Tumut Show

The 2010 SERVICE ONE Members Banking Tumut Show was held on Saturday 6 March. Despite rainy conditions, the event attracted good crowds, and SERVICE ONE staff were on hand to discuss the banking solutions we provide to locals. Snowy Hydro SouthCare Base Open Day

On Sunday 21 February 2010, SERVICE ONE featured at the Snowy Hydro SouthCare Base Open Day. SERVICE ONE has been a supporter of this crucial provider of aerial-medical services for Canberra and surrounding NSW for years. Many event patrons visited the SERVICE ONE stall and entered the competition to win a hot air balloon ride for two on the SERVICE ONE balloon. The competition was won by Ms F. Menz - congratulations!

2010 Member Survey

Member feedback is incredibly important to us, and while we have procedures in place to collect and respond to Member feedback on a regular basis, our annual Member survey continues to provide a popular avenue for you to tell us what you think.

Our 2010 Member survey asks for your feedback and the various elements of the services we provide you - in particular the quality of service you receive in Branches, through our Telephone Response Centre, and Internet and telephone banking facilities. As part of this year's survey, we ran a competition for a Member to win a $500 top-up in their Day-to-Day savings account. The winner of the competition was Mrs B. Kovacs - congratulations!

University Orientation Weeks

With the new university year kicking off, SERVICE ONE has been out and about chatting to students and staff about the banking solutions we provide. The university orientation weeks provide the perfect platform for this and during the past two weeks we featured as part of the Uni of Canberra Market Day, an International Orientation Day at the ANU held specifically for international students who have recently arrived in the country to pursue their tertiary studies, and the ANU Market Day.

SERVICE ONE has supported these events for a number of years - staffing stalls at each event and offering corporate support. In addition, at the ANU Market Day, SERVICE ONE provided event patrons the opportunity to win a $500 Savings Account. The winner of the comeptition was Ms M. Aeismail - congratulations!

2010 ActewAGL Royal Canberra Ladies Classic re-cap

SERVICE ONE supported the inaugural Royal Canberra Ladies Golf Classic, played over the last weekend in January, at the Royal Canberra Golf Club.

This was a new addition to the Ladies golf event calendar in Australia for 2010 and was supported by close to 70 players. Among the field, top 30 player and Australia's second highest ranked female golfer Katherine Hull, British golfing legend Laura Davies and local favourite Nikki Campbell.

The $125,000 event was a welcomed addition to the golf calendar in Australia, and the Australian players commented on how important it was to provide an additional domestic competitive playing environment early in the season - something they have historically had to travel overseas for.

Amateur golfer Kristie Smith won the event, with a total of 16 under - two shots clear of Katherine Hull.

As part of our support of the event, we ran a competition asking spectators to answer a simple quiz to go into the draw to win a $1,000 SERVICE ONE Account. The winner of the competition was Ms S. Tynan - well done!

January edition of SERVICE ONE to ONE

The January edition of SERVICE ONE's Member magazine, SERVICE ONE to ONE, is now available. Members will receive a hardcopy with their January 2010 statements. In this edition, articles on the following topics are included:

• the expanded rediATM network
• information on buying a property at auction
• the importance of Member feedback through the annual Member Satisfaction Survey, and
• the fundamentals of a superannuation review.
